The Northwood Collection Prints
What can be ordered
Print orders for the Northwood photos come as a A3 laser print or as a 150mm x 200mm photo print.
The laser print is printed on a A3 (297mm x 420mm) card which is then trimmed to fit the image size.
The 150mm x 200mm photo print is printed on regular photo print stock and are also trimmed to fit the image size.
The prints can also be ordered as canvases and are available in two sizes. Large (A1aprox) and Medium (A2 approx). For more information on canvases go here.......
All print orders supplied are copies of fully restored images from the Northwood Collection.

Note: That there can be a delay if the print you have ordered from the Northwood Collection hasn't being restored yet. This generally adds about another week.to delivery time.
Renovation and restoration
Renovation is the process where the image has been brightened, cropped or generally tidied up, with a black border added.
Restoration includes the above actions and also a much deeper process. This process involves enlarging the image by 400% so that marks and blemishes can then be removed using digital photo editing tools. Repairs to the image like scratches or missing pieces are also undertaken at this stage. By painstakingly working over every square centimetre the image can then be restored back to its original state.
The images from the Northwood Collection Gallery may be renovated and at least 300 are fully restored. However in viewing the photos online it will noticed that some of the pictures displayed, at this time, are raw stock (ie showing bad edges and blemishes).
Work involved in restoring an image is tedious and can take several hours labour for each image. As time allows the photos in the Northwood Collection will all become fully restored images and will gravitate to this web site.
Picture Framing
It is strongly recommended that you have your Northwood print mounted by a professional picture framer. A cheaper method is the A3 picture frames from the Warehouse store. These usually sell for around $30 each. The photo prints can be treated as normal either by framing or placing in a photo album.
